Ben Humphries is a reporter and policy analyst for EdNC.
He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead-Cain scholar with majors in English and computer science. While at Chapel Hill he wrote for the City/State desk at The Daily Tar Heel and completed an honors thesis in creative writing.
Since graduating he has worked for a State House campaign in Illinois, a tech startup in California, and in various volunteer roles for literary journals. All the while he traveled, including five months driving back and forth across the United States.
