He grew up in Garner, and he attended Washington Elementary, Ligon Middle, and Enloe High Schools before receiving his bachelor’s in Journalism from the University of Maryland and J.D. with Honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law. Rupen is a former staff writer at The Orlando Sentinel, The Raleigh News & Observer, and ESPN.com. His passion is storytelling and shining light on untold and under-reported issues.
