Results: How did students vote in the 2018 midterm elections?

On Tuesday, students from across North Carolina pulled out their cell phones, opened their Chromebooks, or lined up at desktop voting booths to cast their ballots in the November midterm elections.

Sixty-five schools in 34 counties participated in the First Vote NC simulation election platform on Tuesday or during the early voting period. Students cast more than 13,700 votes.

Students voted on US House races, NC Senate and House races, six constitutional amendments, and judicial and local races.

Students also answered issue-based questions and provided demographic data through an exit poll.

Students can explore their results by exit poll and compare their answers to the statewide results.
