Alternative learning schools and programs are designed for students who are in danger of failing or dropping out at a traditional school. In our conversations with people across the state, we realized that there are many misperceptions about alternative schools. Seventy-four such schools exist in North Carolina, and Davidson County High School is one. This video takes you inside its halls and classrooms where many of the kids want the same thing the school system wants: success. This is the first in an occasional series of glimpses inside these schools.
