In March 2020, the Center on Reinventing Public Education (CRPE) released “District Responses to COVID-19,” an online database tracking how some of the nation’s largest public school districts have shifted instruction, student support, and organizational operations in response to COVID-19 school closures. CRPE continues to update the database on a regular basis as district plans shift and evolve.
EdNC and Public Impact have joined forces to create a North Carolina version of this database and provide a similar set of information to state leaders, district leaders, school leaders, educators, and the public. Researchers will collect data from district websites to populate the database, and the results from this survey will help to fill in information gaps and provide additional on-the-ground context for how districts and schools are responding to COVID-19. All survey results will remain anonymous and will appear in aggregate unless you grant permission for your name and comments to be used per the final survey question.
