Dr. Garrett Hinshaw became president of Catawba Valley Community College on August 6, 2006. Hinshaw had previously served as executive vice president of Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute. After a lengthy career in the North Carolina community college system, including being named President of the Year in 2015 by the North Carolina Community College State Board, Hinshaw shared his thoughts around some of the issues facing our community college system during our recent statewide blitz of our 58 community colleges.
