The Editor’s Notes
The State Board of Education meets today at 10 a.m. Here is the agenda.
The NC Rural Center has launched a 2026 Rural Issues Poll to help collect data on the issues shaping the economic outlook of rural North Carolina. The short, online poll asks respondents to rate their level of concern on a range of issues, identify their top priorities, and share the strengths of their communities. You can complete the poll in English or in Spanish.
You can also join the center at a Rural Listening Tour session this fall to share the challenges and opportunities facing your community.
