The Editor’s Notes
The board, strategic council, and team of EdNC are together for our annual retreat, which feels to us like Thanksgiving. It is our privilege to do this work together.
We believe that when we tell the stories of our students, our state, and our future, we collectively write the history of public education in North Carolina.
This summer, EdNC will be publishing our articles and newsletters as needed. Don’t worry — we will be at the legislature until it adjourns.
As Hannah prays, “Blessings and gratitude for each of you, for the light and spark that guides you in this work, and for the stories that motivate you, along with the stories that keep you going.”
Here are the beginnings of a summer playlist from our mountain philosopher, Superintendent Jeff McDaris. It was influenced by Nation. Happy summer, y’all.
