Gov. Cooper and State Budget Director Kristin Walker will release the Governor’s recommended budget at 11am today.
Keung Hui is reporting in The Insider, “North Carolina lawmakers could take the rare step of directing a school system how to assign its students. The state House K-12 Education committee backed a bill Tuesday that would require the Onslow County school system to assign students to the closest schools that have space. House Bill 262 would require parents to give their consent for their children to go to a more distant school.”
