Yesterday, at the N.C. State Board of Education meeting, Chair Eric Davis announced that Rupen Fofaria is the new executive director for the board. In addition to his nationally-recognized reporting on literacy, Rupen (also a lawyer) has played a huge role in supporting my own leadership, taking countless calls after hours. And, in his determined and spirit-full journey to serve others, he has played a key role in shaping the heart of EdNC and what belonging means at our organization. Give him a shout out on Twitter, now X, @Rupen_Fofaria. Proud, and thankful, we expect great things of his leadership.
Shout out and lifting up our colleagues at the North Carolina Early Childhood Foundation, who are getting ready to celebrate their 10th anniversary. Read their story. Share their 10-year timeline. Sign up for their newsletter. Support their work. Early child care matters. Ever thankful for your leadership!
