Yesterday, at the N.C. State Board of Education meeting, Chair Eric Davis announced that Rupen Fofaria is the new executive director for the board. In addition to his nationally-recognized reporting on literacy, Rupen (also a lawyer) has played a huge role in supporting my own leadership, taking countless calls after hours.
