Today is the second day of the 2020 Fall Planning and Work Session of the North Carolina State Board of Education. Here is the agenda.
Join EdNC on Thursday, October 15th at 4 p.m. for a webinar about free speech and education. A panel of academic, legal, business, education, and community experts will dig into questions about free speech that too often get ignored, resulting in confusion and a chilling effect on the kind of free expression that is vital in our democracy in general and in schools in particular.
Our goal is to use this virtual panel discussion to help audience members gain clarity on professional and legal best practices regarding free speech in our learning communities, as well as why openness and transparency can lead to better, more timely, and more inclusive decisions for all education stakeholders.
