EdNC’s Emily Thomas led the way with our on the ground coverage of the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in the 25 counties and the Qualla Boundary affected by the disaster. She was in McDowell County yesterday, and she will use Haywood County as the homebase of her reporting for the rest of this week.
