Out and about on our blitz of the 58 community colleges, we ran into a lot of misperceptions about the childcare landscape county by county. Shout out to Katie Dukes on our team, who has created this EdExplainer. Each month, this statistical report is updated. It’s a daunting report — more than 900 pages long. But once you understand how it is organized you can easily navigate to the summary pages about your county where there is a wealth of interesting information — availability of childcare by age of the child, the type of provider, the quality of provider, etc. Take a look!

Our colleagues at the Public School Forum of North Carolina will be hosting the ninth annual Eggs & Issues Breakfast in Raleigh at the McKimmon Center on Tuesday, January 31. Breakfast will be served starting at 7:30, and the program will run from 8:00-10:15. Register today.
