At EducationNC, we always start with thank you.

Our thanks to MC Belk Pilon and the John M Belk Endowment for your investment in us to provide day in and day out coverage of our community colleges, our workforce, the economy, and our future. Our thanks also to Dan Gerlach and the GoldenLEAF Foundation, Amy Strecker and the Duke Energy Foundation, and Jama Campbell and the SECU Foundation for investing in our community colleges across the state. Their teams have become part of our team, and we are so very thankful. This is what leadership looks like.

Our thanks to Peter Hans and the North Carolina Community College System.

Our thanks to the leaders of our community colleges for welcoming us and helping us tell your story. While EducationNC is not an advocacy organization, we do believe in the fourth estate of new media and the more information the better. Thank you for sharing your story with us and our state.

Our thanks to our colleagues in media outlets across North Carolina for spotlighting our blitz, picking up our articles, and writing your own.

And our thanks to our team. Game, you are. Professional, you are. Wonderful, you are. You are beloved. If you didn’t catch it, the NC roots t-shirts were our not-so-subtle attempt at brainwashing. From Caroline, “I think even though we’re not all together, we’re more of a team than ever.”

And from MC Belk Pilon, “For every mile traveled, every second you listened, questions you asked, people you brought with you, all the notes you wrote, every ounce of energy you had to dig deep, and for all the stories, video, and data you will share, thank you.”

Hold on, North Carolina. Blitz is just the beginning.
