Sophia Luna is from Asheville, North Carolina and is a policy analyst at EdNC. She is currently completing her Master of Public Policy degree at UNC-Chapel Hill. Born and raised in North Carolina, she is passionate about making the state a better place to live and learn for all its residents by prioritizing quality public education for students and advancing policies that support their families.
Sophia recently worked as a Qualitative Research Intern for the NC Department of Public Instruction in their Office of Learning and Research. Through her Master’s program, she is working on research projects centered around community-led change via the collection and analysis of North Carolinians’ oral histories. She is committed to meaningful, community-focused policy change.
