Kaitlyn Parker

Kaitlyn Parker is a writing fellow for Education NC. She grew up in Franklin County and attended the local public schools.
She graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a certificate in business. While in undergrad, she was the External Affairs Intern at the Golden LEAF Foundation, primarily focusing on stories about the NC Community College System. Currently, she is a graduate student at Western Carolina University studying English with a concentration in Creative Writing. She works in the Writing and Learning Commons and is a Teaching Assistant for freshman English.
In her free time, she is often found curled up in recliner reading fantasy books or playing single-player video games.
