Ginger Young is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Book Harvest, an award winning nonprofit based in Durham, North Carolina. Since 2011, children and families have harvested more than 1.8 million books to take home and keep for their very own, building home libraries. Ginger is a senior consultant for the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, a member of the National Advisory Council for the nonprofit social enterprise First Book, and a founding member of the North Carolina Public Education Task Force. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Hill Learning Center. Ginger is a graduate of Harvard College and received her Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
