Elizabeth DeKonty is a North Carolina Resilience and Learning Fellow with the Public School Forum of North Carolina. Elizabeth has a passion for improving the lives of at-risk and trauma-exposed children and brings her expertise in mobilizing diverse groups of individuals and building strong collaborative relationships to the Public School Forum. Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Arts in human services from Elon University, her Certificate in nonprofit leadership and her Master of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Elizabeth has focused on community-level collaboration and engagement through partnerships with other agencies, working to both serve families in need as well as to implement and sustain strong programs in the community through collaborative systems-level change.
