Charles Coble

Charles R. Coble, co-founder & partner of Teacher Preparation Analytics, was Professor of Science Education for 23 years and for 13 years Dean of the School of Education at East Carolina University. He served for six years as Vice President for the 17-campus UNC System and for three years as Vice President for Policy Studies and Programs for the Education Commission of the States in Denver, CO. Dr. Coble was Co-Director of the Science and Mathematics Teacher Imperative (SMTI) with APLU in Washington, DC for seven years. Dr. Coble has led and facilitated multiple higher education and program change initiatives across the United States, and in Japan, Hong Kong, England, Germany, Italy, and Egypt. He has directed over $12 million in grants/contracts and authored or co-authored 10 books, seven book chapters, and over 80 published articles. Dr. Coble holds undergraduate degrees from Mars Hill College and UNC-Chapel Hill, advanced degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill, with post-graduate studies at Northwestern University and the University of Utah.
