
Ben Humphries is a reporter and policy analyst from Cary. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead Scholar with majors in English and Computer Science in May 2022. While in Chapel Hill he wrote for the City/State desk at The Daily Tar Heel and completed an honors thesis in Creative Writing.
Since graduating he has worked for a State House campaign in Illinois, a tech startup in California, and as a prose reader for The Adroit Journal. All the while he traveled, including five months driving back and forth across the United States.
In his free time, he likes to read, host dinners, write poems, and swim in whatever body of water is available.
