Anna Pogarcic is the director of content for EducationNC. She grew up in Charlotte, where she attended Myers Park High School. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May 2021 — although she would say she really graduated from the student-led newspaper, The Daily Tar Heel, where she was editor-in-chief and spent four years covering higher education and government. While in college, she interned for the Charlotte Observer as well as EducationNC. When she isn’t reporting, she enjoys exploring North Carolina’s state parks, baking, and growing her book collection.
