Anna Pogarcic is an editing fellow for EducationNC. Previously, she was the director of content for EdNC. She grew up in Charlotte, where she attended Myers Park High School. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May 2021 — although she would say she really graduated from the student-led newspaper, The Daily Tar Heel, where she was editor-in-chief and spent four years covering higher education and government. While in college, she interned for the Charlotte Observer as well as EducationNC. She is now studying law at Emory University as a Woodruff Fellow and will graduate in 2028. When she isn’t working or studying, she enjoys taking her dog on walks in the park, baking loaves of sourdough, and growing her book collection.
