Ann McColl

Ann McColl has led The Innovation Project since 2017. She is an attorney and has worked in the field of education law and policy since graduating from the UNC Law School in 1991. Her positions include legislative director for the State Board of Education, general counsel for the North Carolina Association of School Administrators and the North Carolina School Superintendents Association, general counsel for the North Carolina Association of Educators, and legal counsel and director of policy for the North Carolina School Boards Association. She also has served as associate professor of educational leadership at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte College of Education, visiting faculty at the School of Government, and adjunct faculty for the UNC School of Education and UNC School of Law. Ann has shared versions of Constitutional Tales with audiences across North Carolina since 2007.
