Bill Anderson, special assistant to the dean for community relations in the College of Education, and Eric Davis, a member of the CMS and North Carolina State Boards of Education, were the guests on the August 13 edition of “The Live Wire,” Inside UNC Charlotte’s streaming webcast. They discussed the state of education in Mecklenburg County and how UNC Charlotte is involved with improving the educational outlook. Budget priorities, teacher shortages, and the student reassignment plan at CMS are also among the topics discussed.

“Few would question the importance of a robust public education system to the health of American society, yet a glance at the issues facing schools across the country makes one thing clear: philosophical agreement that education matters doesn’t make coming up with practical solutions any easier.”

— Wills Citty, Director of Communication, UNC-Charlotte College of Education
