A thank you from State Superintendent Mark Johnson

NC Superintendent Mark Johnson released a video message thanking teachers during National Teacher Appreciation Week (May 8-12).

“National Teacher Appreciation Week was first formally recognized by the National PTA in 1985. Each year, schools and communities make a special effort to say thank you to local teachers for their key contributions in students’ lives and in the community. In North Carolina, there are more than 100,000 public school and public charter school teachers serving 1.5 million students.”
