Question of the Week – January 23

This week is National School Choice Week. North Carolina permits the formation of charter schools, which are publicly funded but are not managed by the local school board. Proponents of charter schools say they increase opportunity and encourage innovation, among other things. Opponents of charter schools say they contribute to segregation and take funding away from traditional public schools, among other things.

Do you support or oppose the formation of charter schools? Let us know below.
