Educators: Share your thoughts on special education funding cap

At EdNC, we’ve listened to teachers, and we’ve heard about challenges they face in schools to provide services to exceptional children. We’ve heard about federal funding (or lack of). We’ve seen the state funding for exceptional children (EC) services capped at 12.75% of a school’s average daily membership — even though, on average, schools have a higher percentage of EC students.

We want to know:

  1. What does this challenge look like in your school/district?
  2. What are you doing in your schools to compensate for funding gaps?

Fill out the brief survey below to share your thoughts on these issues. If you are comfortable with us publishing your comments attached to your name on EdNC.org, please leave your name and email in the final question.
