Preparing principals for the digital age

— Principals across the country have few opportunities to engage in professional learning, especially job-embedded, ongoing experiences.

— The NC Legislature responded to the NC Digital Learning Plan recommendations to provide professional learning to support district and school leaders and coaches with professional learning through cohorts.

— The Friday Institute in partnership with the NC Principal & Assistant Principals’ Association (NCPAPA) and the NC Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) launched three cohorts of 120 principals from 54 districts this year with plans for an additional three cohorts next school year.

— Principals from the initial NC program and the new cohorts share how this work is changing and impacting their practice.
