Wolfpack WORKS gets ready to bolster literacy efforts

  • WolfPACK Works is an initiative of Read to Achieve that will help K-2 teachers teach literacy skills to their students
  • The program, a partnership between NC State and the state Department of Public Instruction, is funded for one year and begins this school year
  • Literacy skills are particularly important in the early grades as reading is the foundation of student learning for K-12 education and beyond

In this episode of EdTalk, host Alex Granados talks with Paola Sztajn, associate dean for Research and Innovation at NC State University’s College of Education and co-principal investigator for Wolfpack WORKS. Wolfpack WORKS is an offshoot of the Read to Achieve program. NC State’s College of Education and the state Department of Public Instruction will use the program to help first and second year, K-2 teachers better provide literacy instruction to their students. Sztajn talks about the program in this episode.
