Lieutenant Governor Dan Forest on how technology is changing education

  • This year, North Carolina became the first state in the country with every classroom connected to high speed broadband.
  • The state’s Digital Learning Plan has helped set education technology priorities in order, Lt. Gov. Dan Forest said, beginning with making sure classrooms are connected to the internet. 
  • Forest said it’s becoming more affordable to connect the last mile, making sure that students have internet connectivity at home.
