<li>Perdue has been working on integrating technology in North Carolina classrooms since she was Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina.</li>
<li>An early effort in EdTech was creating a virtual high school in NC in the early- to mid-2000s. The effort failed, Perdue said, because poor students didn't have connectivity.</li>
<li>Since then, Perdue and others have worked hard to make the state a leader in EdTech. Perdue said it's a bipartisan effort, and singles out <a href="https://www.ncleg.net/gascripts/members/viewMember.pl?sChamber=H&amp;amp;nUserID=604" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Rep. Craig Horn</a>, R-Union, in particular for his efforts on the issue. </li>
