Ep. 4 – ‘Hacking institutional racism’ featuring Will Jackson

In this episode, Donnell and Jenny talk to Dr. Will Jackson. Jackson is the Chief Dreamer of the Village of Wisdom organization. In this conversation, they discuss family organizing and advocacy. They also learn more about how Village of Wisdom is working with black families to protect black genius and eliminate racial injustice in schools.

Donnell Cannon is the executive director of Maureen Joy Charter School in Durham.

Jenny O’Meara is a Partner with Transcend Education’s School Design Services. She supports school teams and leaders in their work to reimagine school and to design extraordinary and equitable experiences for all. A former teacher and principal, she gets especially fired up about redesigning school with rural communities and elevating the voices of young people.
