As we begin a new school year, the excitement and anticipation are palpable. Teachers across our state, across our nation, are welcoming back students into the classrooms. They are poised to inspire, challenge, and nurture the next generation of leaders. But amid the optimism, there is an undeniable reality that we must confront: Our educators need more support more than ever.

The ongoing challenges that teachers face today are multifaceted. From managing classrooms with diverse needs, to navigating the ever-changing political landscape of education policy, the demands placed on educators have never been greater. This burden is particularly heavy for those who choose to serve and work in under-resourced schools, where the systems that should be in place are often lacking.

At Profound Ladies, we recognize the critical importance of supporting our educators, especially those from marginalized communities and those serving our most vulnerable students. Our mission has always been to uplift and empower our teachers, equipping them with the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond. This year, we are proud to announce that over 250 educators have opted into our professional development experiences, mentoring opportunities, and our broader community. This is a testament to the growing demand for the support we offer.

If you’re interested in learning more about the teachers in your district, who may already be a part of our program, please reach out to us!

We understand that school districts are also experiencing turnover, challenges to their capacity, and navigating the political landscape when it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion programming. While we understand this challenge, the reality is that teachers are still overwhelmingly opting into our network for support. While districts are still struggling to provide the necessary support and resources, Profound Ladies have stepped in to cover the costs of our program through grants. We believe that no educator should have to wait for the support they need, and we are committed to ensuring that every teacher who seeks our help receives it.

While we are proud of the impact we are making, we know that our efforts alone are not enough. Real, sustainable change requires systemic support. This is where our school leaders come in.

Superintendents, human resources personnel, beginning teacher coordinators — now is the time to act. Title II funding, reauthorized under the Every Students Succeeds Act (ESSA), may be used for innovative and evidence-based activities to more effectively attract, select, place, support, and retain excellent educators in every classroom in every school.

As we embark on a new school year, let’s renew our commitment to our educators. Let’s ensure they have the support they need to not only survive, but thrive — not just for their sakes, but for the sakes of the students they serve. At Profound Ladies, Inc., we are ready to partner with you in this mission, and we urge you to take advantage of the timing and opportunity to make this school year the best one yet.

Don’t leave your educators hanging! Together, we can create an educational experience that supports every teacher!

Welcome back to school! Let’s make this year a profound one!
