On Monday, NC Policy Watch brought together Sen. Jay Chaudhuri, D-Wake, and Kris Nordstrom, education policy analyst at the North Carolina Justice Center’s Education & Law Project, to talk about the state of education in North Carolina during an event entitled, “Crucial Conversation: Public Schools in Crisis.”
Chaudhuri touched on some of the biggest issues facing the state’s public school system, including the K-3 class size mandate from the General Assembly.
Nordstrom talked about his recent report, The Unraveling—Poorly-Crafted Education Policies Are Failing North Carolina’s Children.
