<p>The <a href="https://www.ncleg.gov/Committees/CommitteeInfo/House/209" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">House Select&nbsp;Committee on an Education System for North Carolina's Future</a> held a meeting in Monroe on Monday evening, hearing presentations from Union County Public Schools (<a href="https://www.ucps.k12.nc.us/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">UCPS</a>), South Piedmont Community College (<a href="https://spcc.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">SPCC</a>), and <a href="https://www.wingate.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wingate University</a>. The second hour was reserved for public comment. </p>
