EWA conference: Political points of view on the Common Core

The Common Core standards are increasingly a topic of political debate at the local, state and national level. The Education Writers Association hosted a forum on Common Core at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and invited a number of political experts to take part. At the event, Lt. Gov. Dan Forest, former Gov. Beverly Perdue and Florida State Sen. John Legg discussed their views of Common Core and gave their predictions on the future of the standards in North Carolina, Florida and across the country.
