EducationNC Chief Growth Officer Nation Hahn shared his story and the work of Reach NC Voices at Leadership North Carolina’s 11th Annual Forum.
Hahn emphasized the vital role of safe and hopeful environments in public spaces for North Carolina children who, like himself, grew up facing adversity.
“We can’t cure addiction or bad parenting, try as we might,” Hahn said. “No ready-made policy solution exists to create stable home lives. But we can begin to understand that schools and libraries and even places of faith can offer stability and hope to children just like me.”
The theme of the forum was “Citizen Leadership: How to Lead Through Disruption.”
