In fact North Carolina leads the nation in the percentage of Nationally Board Certified teachers, the gold standard for professional excellence in teaching. This week on the show you’re going to meet three rock star teachers including the new 2019 NC Teacher of the Year Mariah Morris from Moore County and the 2018 NC Teacher of the Year and Western Region Teacher of the Year Freebird McKinney and Julie Paige Pittman.
