Join us for A Carolina Food Summit, exploring the big issues facing our Carolina Foodways in Chapel Hill on September 28 and 29. Presented through a partnership between EdNC.org, the Jamie Kirk Hahn Foundation, TerraVita, and UNC Food For All and featuring 40 local experts, chefs, school nutrition directors, farmers, authors, folklorists and more. We will discuss how a vibrant local food economy can contribute to North Carolina and the impact on all of our children. Here is more information.

The Public School Forum’s Beginning Teacher Leadership Network is accepting applications for the 2016-17 school year for Mecklenburg, Wake, and Union counties. Here is the application.

$500 teacher grants from SaveOnEnergy are available for teachers with lesson plans about energy or sustainability. The application is due on October 21. Here is more information.
