This week is National Charter Schools Week

The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools is celebrating National Charter Schools Week 2019 this week, May 12-18. According to the website, “The theme for this year is Charter School Are… because each charter school is unique in how they serve students and families, and we all have our own definition of what charter schools mean to us.” Here is more information, and here is a video about charter schools.

On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, Education Week will be hosting its first virtual summit with a dedicated focus on education technology and innovation. The Ed-Tech Leadership & Innovation Summit will be held on June 5, 2019, at 1 p.m. ET. Join editors and writers from Education Week and EdWeek Market Brief as well as ed-tech leaders and classroom teachers for a deep dive into the challenges schools are facing as they try to use technology more effectively to improve teaching and learning.
