Today, teachers from around North Carolina will march on downtown Raleigh to demand better pay, more school support staff, Medicaid expansion, restoration of Master’s pay, and a return of retiree health benefits for teachers hired after 2021. While teachers are marching, the House appropriations committee will be taking up its budget plan. EducationNC will be reporting on both of these stories throughout the day.
