The Editor’s Notes
I love the moment before a trip when you can only imagine everything you will learn. Next week I’ll be with Nation in Phoenix for the American Press Institute summit, “Reimagining opinion journalism: Ideas for depolarizing public debate.” Then I head up to Boise with a student, parent, teacher, school and business leaders from Edgecombe County to talk with rural philanthropists about the capacity and need for students to imagine their education now and in the future. Follow me on Twitter @Mebane_Rash.
The N.C. State Board of Education will meet next week on Wednesday and Thursday.
