Leadership is on my mind today.

EdNC is mourning the loss of several education champions. Our love and support goes out to the families and communities of Porcha McMillan, Rep. Linda Johnson, and former Lt. Gov. Bob Jordan. We are thankful for their public service to our students, our schools, and our state.

Every year Education Week highlights leaders to learn from. This year, two NC school district leaders made the list! Meet Johnnye Waller in Lee County Schools and Nellie Aspel in Cleveland County Schools.
