The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed today, January 24 as International Day of Education in celebration of the role of education for peace and development.
From our colleagues at the Burroughs Wellcome Fund: The Student STEM Enrichment Program (SSEP) is now accepting proposals. SSEP awards provide up to $60,000 per year for three years for the creation and implementation of after-school, weekend, or summer STEM programs. The program is open to any North Carolina nonprofit, but we strongly encourage partnerships and collaboration among organizations targeting underserved and underrepresented communities. The deadline to apply is April 15, 2020. To learn more about the program and to apply, please visit www.bwfund.org/ssep
