In the alternate reality that would have unfolded without COVID-19, team EdNC would be at Merlefest right now, which is held each year at Wilkes Community College. Robert has been working way too many hours on a documentary about the music festival. It’s a great story about the power of community colleges to do big, great things for their students and their community. It’s been our privilege to work with Jeff Cox, Ted Hagaman, and Allison Phillips, and we look forward to releasing the full cut next year. In the meantime, for our moment of hope this Friday, please watch the rough cut Robert released yesterday, and let us know what you think. On a personal note, my youngest son Wells released a song last night with his band yesdude! called Hold Me Close. The boys say on Instagram, “enjoy this time with your family, call your friends and tell them that you love them.” You can find the song on Spotify.
