New from EdNC

The Editor’s Notes
In the spring of 2015, I spent a week in the Hoke County Schools. Freddie Williamson was superintendent. It was my first district deep dive. At the school board meeting that week, I met a student, Chyna Delk-Bratcher. Chyna had won a gold medal for her oratorical skills, and she was being honored by the district. As a student, she was calling on those around her to think about how to vision greatness and how to vision change.
Last year, Chyna reached back out to me.
She is now a teacher, and this school year she will be sharing her classroom experience with us. Her leadership is a living example of how to show up, pour in, and shape the future of our students and our state. Welcome, Ms. Bee!
