The Editor’s Notes
First of all, sending love and support to the Northside High School family.
Second of all, after being in a dizzying number of schools this week, I stand in awe of our educators. We ended the week at Bartlett Yancey Senior High in Caswell County with educators who are knocking it out of the park for their students from a program designed for students who want to drop out that keeps them in school and on a pathway to graduation including earning a credential to a program that provides a four-year pathway to high school graduation and earning an associate’s degree (and they can still play sports!). We see you finding elegant solutions for issues that sometimes seem intractable.
This school year’s playlist, curated by Superintendent Jeff McDaris, is entitled, “The Journey.” Join us.
