State Superintendent officially launches Operation Polaris
State Superintendent of Public Instruction Catherine Truitt released her full strategic plan for education in North Carolina today. The Editor’s Notes
Update on the budget. Legislative leaders expect to have a draft compromise budget next week. They are going to send it to Gov. Cooper for his review and reaction with time then to negotiate changes. Speaker of the House Tim Moore said, “The goal right now is to have a budget finalized in the first week or second week of October. I think redistricting will probably follow the next week or so.”
