HEADS UP | The Co-Chairs of the PEPSC Subcommittees will hold a virtual meeting on Thursday, Aug. 25, at 1:30 p.m. This could be the last meeting ahead of a full committee meeting in September. At the last meeting, just 17 people listened in. Listen in. See where they are. Weigh in. The agenda is available online.  The meeting will be livestreamed.

The NC Tribune reports this morning, “In an unusual response to N.C. Supreme Court Justice Anita Earls’ refusal to recuse herself in the Leandro case, attorneys for legislative leaders filed a request Tuesday asking the judges to remove her former client from the case.” The former client is the Charlotte-Mecklenburg NAACP.
