Shout out to Dr. Janet Spriggs, president of Forsyth Tech, who has been named the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) Southern Region Chief Executive Officer of the Year. This summer I had the opportunity to visit Forsyth Tech, and as a group of students waited in line, Dr. Spriggs went one by one, introducing herself as Janet and getting to know each one of them. I wondered how many of them knew she was the president, but for sure each one of them felt welcomed, seen, heard, and believed in.
